Cheryl Mills is currently a Board Member at BlackRock. Cheryl has previously worked as Vice President of Wealth Product Management at Broadridge and as Head of Technology Product Management and Client Experience Delivery at BNY Mellon.
Mills has been instrumental in leading digital transformation across multiple companies. At Broadridge, they helped to deliver a new Broadridge Wealth Platform that optimized advisor productivity, client experience and enterprise operations. At BNY Mellon, they led global Product Management and Documentation teams to advance the company’s digital transformation across 3 major products and 20 services. This included developing client-facing tools (APIs, portals, data analytics and apps) and guiding the migration of users, legacy platforms and services to new NEXEN cloud-based environment.
Under Mills’ leadership, Broadridge was able to exceed their 2017 goal by 25%. Cheryl also successfully migrated over 120,000 clients to the new NEXEN portal for improved client experience. In addition, they launched a NEXEN API Store with 200 APIs available to internal and external clients. To date, they have retired 7 legacy systems, resulting in $10 million in annual cost of ownership savings.
Most recently, Mills built the Client Insights program at BNY Mellon, which leverages data and direct user feedback to better understand user experience and influence roadmaps and enhancement priorities.
Cheryl Mills received a BA in Government and Anthropology from William & Mary before going on to earn their MBA in Finance from the same school.
