Eric Metz, CFA, is the Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer, and Head of SpiderRock Advisors at BlackRock, where they have been since 2024. They previously served as President and Chief Investment Officer of SpiderRock Advisors starting in 2015, and held roles at RiverNorth Capital Management, LLC, and Bengal Capital. Their early career included experience as a derivatives trader at Ronin Capital and the Chicago Trading Company. Eric holds both a BSE and MSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1998 to 2003.
