Ibrahim Kanan

Ibrahim Kanan is a highly experienced professional in the finance and investment sectors, currently serving as Managing Director at BlackRock since September 2014, leading the US Equities portfolio and specializing in the healthcare sector with oversight of $60 billion in assets under management. Prior to this role, Ibrahim worked in private equity at Global Infrastructure Partners from 2010 to 2012, focusing on midstream oil and gas, merchant power, renewable energy, and infrastructure. Ibrahim's financial expertise was further developed during an investment banking tenure at Goldman Sachs from 2008 to 2010, where involvement centered on global natural resources. Ibrahim holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School and a degree in Mechanical and Energy Conversion Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
