James Templeman is the Global Head of Securities Lending at BlackRock, a position held since 2024. They previously served as the Managing Director and Head of Securities Lending Europe at BlackRock from 2001 to 2024, along with leading SL Equity Trading. Before their tenure at BlackRock, James was the Head of Securities Lending and Derivatives Support at Henderson Global Investors from 1994 to 2001. James earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Economics from the University of Leicester, which they attended from 1989 to 1992.
