James Turner has a diverse and extensive career in the finance and investment sectors. Beginning as an ACA at Deloitte from September 1996 to September 1999, James transitioned to Citi as an Associate in M&A from September 1999 to December 2001. Following this, James served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. from December 2001 to September 2018. At BlackRock, James currently holds the position of Head of European Fundamental Fixed Income Investment Business and Portfolio Manager, having served previously as Head of European Leveraged Finance and Portfolio Manager from October 2018 to April 2024. James holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, obtained between 1993 and 1996.
