Jean Boivin

Jean Boivin is an accomplished finance and economics expert with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Head of the BlackRock Investment Institute and Global Head of Research at BlackRock, Jean has previously held significant roles such as Managing Director and Global Head of Research and Managing Director and Head of Economic and Markets Research. Prior to joining BlackRock, Jean was the Associate Deputy Finance Minister and G20/G7 Deputy at Finance Canada and served as Deputy Governor and Special Adviser at the Bank of Canada. In academia, Jean has contributed as a Professor of Finance and Economics at HEC Montréal and as a Visiting Professor at INSEAD. Jean holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University and a B.Sc. in Economics from Université de Montréal.
