Kurt Vandenberg

Kurt Vandenberg is a highly experienced professional in the field of technology and information systems, currently serving as Managing Director at BlackRock since 2011. Prior to this role, Vandenberg held positions as Chief Information Officer at Assured Guaranty and Financial Security Assurance, Inc., where the latter was acquired by Assured Guaranty. Vandenberg's extensive background includes being a Partner at Capco, where responsibilities included establishing and managing the Capco India operation, as well as leading the North American technology practice and serving as COO of a joint venture with Reuters. Earlier experience encompasses strategic IT consulting at Entropae Inc., and operations management at TIBCO, along with foundational work as a Research Scientist at Honeywell. Vandenberg holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Marquette University.
