Li Karam is currently the Managing Director and Legal Counsel for Private Funds at BlackRock, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, Li served as Senior Vice President and Legal Counsel in the Private Funds Group at Brookfield Asset Management from 2013 to 2022. They began their legal career as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, focusing on Corporate/M&A from 2008 to 2011, and later continued as an Associate at Covington & Burling in the Private Equity/Funds Group from 2011 to 2013. Li earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Yale Law School in 2008.
