Shaun Beaney

Shaun Beaney is a Vice President at BlackRock and the Editor of Preqin First Close, a newsletter essential to the global private markets industry, launched in September 2022. Previously, they served on the Investment for Growth Working Group at the Creative Industries Council and worked as an Assistant Director in Corporate Finance at BDO LLP. Shaun's editorial journey includes roles as Deputy Editor and Research Editor at Real Deals and contributions to the ICAEW's Corporate Finance Faculty. They also hold experience as an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins and as Chair of the Access to Finance Working Group with Innovate UK. Shaun attended the University of Glasgow, graduating in 1991.
