Waseem Manan

Waseem Manan is a Junior Portfolio Manager at BlackRock, specializing in the Emerging Markets Alpha pod with a focus on Credit, Rates, FX, and Derivatives since July 2018. Prior to this role, Waseem co-founded Gordon Investment Research, leading a team of 20 students in the analysis of US and Canadian equity markets and delivering investment recommendations. Waseem also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, managing lesson plans and grading for over 40 students. Waseem gained experience as a Global Fixed Income Summer Analyst at BlackRock and as a Research Assistant at the Bank of Canada, where contributions included developing a Value at Risk analysis and presenting research to senior economists. Waseem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto, complemented by studies in statistics and mathematics.
