Alexander Smith

Alexander Smith is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in flight dynamics, mission planning, and navigation engineering. Currently serving as Manager of Flight Dynamics Engineering at BlackSky since August 2019, Alexander previously held roles at Omitron Inc. and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, leading orbit determination and tracking data evaluation for numerous NASA satellites. Skills include Python development for flight dynamics systems, participation in successful satellite missions, and research in orbit determination methodologies. Alexander's background also encompasses engineering roles at Intelsat and internships in mechanical design, showcasing a broad expertise in aerospace applications and client relations. Alexander earned a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has academic experience from City St George's, University of London.
