Matt Wood is an experienced sales and business development professional with a strong background in the geospatial industry. Currently serving as the Head of Sales for Europe at BlackSky since January 2022, Matt has held key positions including Sales Director for Geospatial at Cyient and Sales Director for Europe at Planet. Prior to these roles, Matt worked at ESRI, contributing as a member of the Business Development team focused on European National Security and managing accounts for the US Department of Defense. Matt's career began as a GIS Technician at RK&K Engineers, followed by a role as a GIS Analyst & Trainer at the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. Matt holds a BA (Hons) in Geography & European Studies from the University of Strathclyde, obtained between 1991 and 1995.
