Neil Dhingra

Neil Dhingra is an accomplished engineer and expert in optimization and machine learning, currently serving as Lead Engineer at BlackSky since September 2025. Previously, Dhingra held the position of Director – Optimization and Machine Learning at Auria Space and Orbit Logic, where leadership in algorithm development and fostering commercial relationships was pivotal. Experience also includes a tenure as Program Manager at Numerica Corporation, overseeing advanced algorithm design and deployment for satellite and sensor control. Dhingra's extensive research background includes roles at the University of Minnesota and NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, focusing on control theory and machine learning applications. Dhingra earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Theory from the University of Minnesota and a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
