Nick Merski

Nicholas Merski is a seasoned professional in the aerospace sector, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at BlackSky since April 2015. Prior to this role, Nicholas held multiple leadership positions at BlackSky, including Vice President of Space Operations, Director of the BlackSky Constellation Program, and Constellation Program Manager. Before joining BlackSky, Nicholas served in the United States Air Force from January 2009 to April 2015, where responsibilities included Engineering Division Chief in the Advanced Systems and Development Directorate, Advanced Systems Lead at SMC/SD Space Development Division, and Satellite Program Manager for Operationally Responsive Space Satellite-1. Nicholas holds a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
