Kathleen Flynn

Director of Planning and Policy at BlackStar Group

Kathleen Flynn has a long and varied career in law. Kathleen began in 2005 as a Judicial Intern at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. In 2007, they became an Assistant Public Defender and a Felony Law Clerk at the Office of the Public Defender Maryland. In 2013, they founded Kate Flynn Law, a general practice law firm, and represented clients in criminal, family law, personal injury, and civil litigation matters. In 2016, they joined The Law Offices of Thomas Maronick Jr LLC as a Senior Associate, where they grew the Personal Injury practice and Family Law practice from the ground up, and oversaw, mentored, and assisted firm associates and “Of Counsel” attorneys. In 2018, they took on the role of Director of Planning and Policy at BlackStar Group.

Kathleen Flynn attended Long Reach High School from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their Diploma. Kathleen then attended the University of Maryland from 2000 to 2001. Following that, they attended Virginia Tech from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in Philosophy and English. Lastly, they attended the University of Baltimore School of Law from 2004 to 2007, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.).
