Amanda Villarreal is an experienced educator with a robust background in elementary education and support services. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher and Academic and Behavior Support provider at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy since February 2018, Amanda has developed skills in classroom management and student assistance. Previous positions include Teacher Assistant at The Children's Workshop and Substitute Teacher at A Child's University. Amanda's career also includes roles in customer relations and training, specifically as a Preferred Relationship Specialist at Bank of America and Team Trainer at Dunkin Donuts. Academically, Amanda holds a Master's of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Elementary Education and Special Education from Johnson & Wales University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island.

Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) is an intentionally diverse network of tuition-free public schools chartered by the Rhode Island Department of Education. BVP offers a high-quality public school choice to the families of Central Falls, Cumberland, Lincoln, and Pawtucket, and currently serves 2,300 scholars, ages 5-22, across six schools. A member of the Rhode Island Mayoral Academies network, BVP’s mission is to prepare every scholar to achieve their goals for college and the world beyond.
