Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy
Bethany Chappell is an experienced educator currently serving as a Special Education Teacher and a 3rd-4th Grade Teacher at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy since August 2015. Previously, Bethany held the role of Unit Leader at Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England from June 2009 to August 2015 and worked as a Substitute Teacher for Warwick Public Schools between May 2013 and June 2015. Bethany earned a Master's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Providence College (2016-2018) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Rhode Island (2009-2013).

Blackstone Valley Prep (BVP) is an intentionally diverse network of tuition-free public schools chartered by the Rhode Island Department of Education. BVP offers a high-quality public school choice to the families of Central Falls, Cumberland, Lincoln, and Pawtucket, and currently serves 2,300 scholars, ages 5-22, across six schools. A member of the Rhode Island Mayoral Academies network, BVP’s mission is to prepare every scholar to achieve their goals for college and the world beyond.
