Yao Wei

Yao Wei is a Senior Associate at Blackstone since August 2022, having previously served as an Associate. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst in Private Equity and Private Credit at Partners Group from July 2020 to June 2022, and as a Summer Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the summer of 2019. Internships at China Investment Corporation, Deloitte, and Citi Orient Securities provided foundational experience, complemented by service as Corporal First Class in the Singapore Armed Forces from February 2014 to February 2016. Yao Wei began a career in research as a Research Assistant at A*STAR, contributing to the synthesis of zwitterionic complexes and authoring research published in the Royal Society of Chemistry Journal. Yao Wei obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Comparative Literature and Economics from the University of Chicago and holds an International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma from Anglo-Chinese School (Independent).
