Sham Ramnarain

Sham Ramnarain has over 14 years of professional work experience in various roles and industries. Currently, they are set to become the CEO/CTO of BlackTeal Energy in 2022. Before that, they worked as the Global GM of Project Delivery, Energy Storage & Optimization at Wärtsilä from 2020 to 2023. Sham was also the Director of Engineering at Vynckier Enclosure Systems, Inc from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, Sham Ramnarain worked as a Senior Director, Solution Engineering, and as a Product Marketing Manager - Senior Electrical Engineer at Huawei Technologies from 2016 to 2018. Sham also worked as an Electrical Engineer III - PV Plant Product Engineer at First Solar from 2015 to 2016, and a Senior Electrical Engineer at Con Edison in 2014. Additionally, they were employed as an Electrical Engineer II at First Solar in 2013 and Managing Partner - Project Director at BlueTech Energy from 2010 to 2013. Prior to this, Sham Ramnarain was the owner of Green Source 2020, LLC, and worked as a Field Engineer at Mass Electric Construction Co. in 2008.

Sham Ramnarain earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology between 2003 and 2008. In 2011, they began pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering Management at Stevens Institute of Technology, which they have not yet completed.
