Michael Hopkins has extensive experience in architecture, design, and project management, currently serving as Principal at Blackwell since November 2006. Michael co-founded StopGap Foundation, which focuses on enhancing accessibility in built environments through universal design solutions from May 2009 to November 2013. Previous roles include Yoga Instructor at Tula Yoga Spa (2010-2012), Production and Installation Coordinator at West Coast Millwork Inc (2006), General and Finish Carpenter and Site Superintendent at Revolution Developments Limited (2004-2006), and Architectural/Planning Draftsperson and Coordinator at Loreto Bay Company, where collaborations with local architects in Mexico contributed to sustainable housing initiatives (2004). Additional experience includes project design at Fresh Fruit and Architecture and event design at Roy Street Collective. Michael's educational background in Structural Engineering Technology was completed at Camosun College from 1998 to 2001.
