Jose Duarte

Jose Duarte is the Founder and Principal of Blackwood Group LLC, a full-service builder/general contractor with design-build capabilities in residential, mixed-use, and commercial markets. He is also a Board Member at We All Code and has served as a Board Member for the City of Chicago's Building Department Board of Appeals and the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA). In the past, Jose has worked as a GC Design Builder at Domino's Pizza, Senior Construction Manager at SMB Development, and Assistant Project Manager at The Rise Group. He holds a MS in Project Management from Northwestern University, a BS in Civil & Structural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and attended Archbishop Quigley High School.
