Jacob Cunningham

Jacob Cunningham is a Solutions Architect at BLACKWOOD since January 2023, focusing on providing effective solutions for key enterprise customers facing information security and network challenges. Prior to this role, Jacob worked as a Platform Engineer at Evolve Security from June 2021 to December 2022, and held multiple positions at LumenAd, including Software Engineer - DevOps and Junior Software Developer from February 2017 to July 2021. Jacob began a career in technology as a QA Engineer at Cisco from October 2013 to August 2016 and Sourcefire from October 2012 to October 2013. Earlier experience includes working as a Firefighter/Paramedic at Washington DC Fire and EMS from October 2010 to April 2012 and as a Paramedic at American Medical Response from March 2010 to October 2010. Jacob holds a B.S. in Computer and Information Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, an Evolve Security Certified Professional certification in Cybersecurity from Evolve Security Academy, and an A.A. in General Studies with a focus on Political Science and Government from Montgomery College.
