Nicholas Savage

Nicholas Savage is a highly experienced Master Distiller currently serving at Bladnoch Distillery since July 2019. Prior to this role, Nicholas held the position of Master Distiller for The Macallan at Edrington from February 2016 to May 2019 and worked as Distilling Technical Leader at William Grant & Sons from July 2014 to February 2016. Nicholas began a significant career at Diageo, where from August 2007 to July 2014, contributions included leading a complex research program for cask design and optimization, influencing large-scale CAPEX projects on quality and volume. Nicholas's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Sports Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, a NEBOSH NVQ in Health & Safety from Forth Valley College, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from RMIT University.
