Jason Beck

History department chair Jason Beck holds the Dr. J. Brooks Hoffman ’36 Chair in American History. He serves as director of the Society of Skeptics lecture series and coordinator of the Current Events Forum. Since joining Blair’s faculty as director of financial aid in 2001, Jason has taught Western civilization, intellectual history honors, and Advanced Placement courses in U.S., world and European history. In addition, he previously served as assistant dean of college counseling, class monitor, chair of the Accreditation Committee and co-chair of the Faculty Professional Development Committee. After completing his undergraduate work at Vassar College in 1999, Jason joined the staff there as assistant director of admission. In 2010, he earned his MA in classics and philosophy from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He lives on Park Street.
