Derek Flaherty has extensive experience in logistics and safety management, currently serving as Regional Safety Manager at Blair Logistics since November 2013, where Derek has also held roles as Orientation Manager, Operational Specialist, and Fleet Manager. Prior to this, Derek served in the US Army from December 2011 to December 2019 as a CPT and Quartermaster Officer in the 787th Battalion Transportation. Derek began their career as a Physical Therapy Technician at Physiotherapy Associates from October 2009 to October 2013. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Auburn University at Montgomery, obtained between 2007 and 2010.

Blair started with 15 trucks in 2009, and have now grown to over 600 owner operators with 700+ trailers.
