Mikko Fabritius

Technical Lead at Blancco

Mikko Fabritius has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Mikko started their career in 2012 as a Course Assistant and a Research Assistant at the University of Eastern Finland. In these roles, they contributed to research projects and provided assistance in courses.

In 2013, Mikko worked as a Research Assistant, where they developed mobile applications and server-side services for a research project.

From 2014 to 2015, they worked as an Innokas Coach at Innokas Network, where they trained teachers in technology topics such as educational robotics and game programming.

In 2015, Mikko joined Blancco Technology Group as a Software Engineer. Mikko'sresponsibilities included developing the Blancco Management Console as part of an agile team. Mikko worked on database changes, UI elements, and various development tasks. Later in 2018, they were promoted to the role of Technical Lead, where they continued their contribution to the company.

During their university studies, Mikko also worked part-time as a System Designer and Children's technology club instructor at Joensuun Tiedeseura - Joensuu Science Society ry. Here, they focused on various science projects and robotics with Lego Mindstorms sets. Mikko also worked briefly as a trainee at the same organization.

Mikko Fabritius completed their Master's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Eastern Finland from 2009 to 2015. In 2013, they also participated in a student exchange program at Makerere University, where they focused on Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Mikko obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed the "Java EE and Web application security" certification from SCADEMY Secure Coding Academy Ltd. In 2016, they obtained the "Hands-On Hacking Essentials" certification from Clarified Security OÜ.

Mikko has also obtained various certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional" certification in 2022, the "AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional" certification in 2020, and the "AWS Certified Developer - Associate" certification in 2020.

Furthermore, they hold the "Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)" certification from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in 2019.
