Margarida Madeira

Margarida Madeira has a diverse work experience in the animation and film production industry. Margarida is currently working as a Creative Lead at Blanco Niño since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Animator and Illustrator, providing their services independently. Margarida also founded Pickle Films in 2013, a film production studio specializing in animated films. Margarida served as the Owner and Animator at Pickle Films, offering illustration, character design, and animation services. Margarida also worked as a Motion Graphic Designer at SwimTogether Swimming Holidays. Margarida has also worked as a Freelance Animator and Illustrator in the past. In 2015, they worked as a 3D Animator and 2D Illustrator at Micu Films for the short movies "Otras Sonrisas" and "El Secreto de Cuatro Ciénagas," which were supported by the NGO Global Dialogues. Additionally, they have experience as a 3D Animator at Terricola Studio and HIERROanimacion, where they specialized in character animation for the TV series "Migrópolis." Margarida began their career with an internship at Casa da Animação in 2010 and also worked as an Animator at Sardinha em Lata from 2009 to 2010.

In 2006-2010, they attended the Universidade do Porto and obtained a Licentiate degree in Design and Visual Communications, General.

From 2008-2009, they studied at Akademia Sztuk Pięknych im. Jana Matejki w Krakowie, focusing on 2D Animation.

In 2010-2012, they pursued a Master's degree at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, specializing in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects.

In 2019, they enrolled in the School of Motion's Advanced Motion Methods program, completing it successfully and obtaining a certification in Motion graphics.

Margarida Madeira has an additional certification in Advanced Motion Methods, which they acquired from School of Motion in May 2019.
