Kelsey Shields has a diverse work experience starting in 2018 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Professor Markus Chmielus' Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh. In this role, they focused on additive manufacturing of biocompatible materials.
In 2019, Kelsey worked as a Skincare Team Research and Project Management Intern at FutureDerm, Inc., where they gained experience in researching and managing projects related to skincare.

From 2021 to 2022, Kelsey worked as an Associate Engineer in the R&D Fragrance Innovation department at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., where they focused on fragrance research and development.
In 2022, Kelsey joined AEK Solutions as an Account Manager and Writer.
Currently, Kelsey is working as the Founder and CEO of Homegrown Beauty, a company they established in 2022.
In 2023, they will join Blank Beauty as a Product Manager.
Kelsey Shields attended Penn-Trafford High School from 2013 to 2017 and obtained their High School Diploma during this period. Kelsey then pursued their higher education at the University of Pittsburgh from 2017 to 2021. At the university, they focused on the field of Materials Science Engineering. The degree they obtained during their time at the University of Pittsburgh has not been specified.
