Marilynn Thoma Curator, Art Of The Spanish Americas at Blanton Museum of Art

Rosario I. Granados-Salinas is an established art historian and curator specializing in the art of the Spanish Americas. Currently serving as the Marilynn Thoma Curator at the Blanton Museum of Art since August 2016, Rosario has previously held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Skidmore College and a Postdoctoral Lecturer at the University of Chicago's Center for Latin American Studies, focusing on Latin American art, religious material culture, and women's history. Rosario's academic journey includes a PhD in Art History from Harvard University and further studies in Early Netherlandish Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art. Early career experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at UNAM's Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas and a role as Head of Research at the Museo de la Basílica de Guadalupe.
