Pierre Pinard has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Pierre began their career as a Flight Control Systems Specialist at CAE Electronics Ltd, where they analyzed, designed, and tested real-time embedded software for aircraft training simulators. Pierre then worked as a Research Assistant at McGill University, conducting experimental studies and publishing research papers on the effect of additives on detonation initiation in fuel-air mixtures. Pierre later joined GE Global Research as an Energy & Propulsion Research Engineer, where they conducted energy and combustion research and developed an optical diagnostic system to measure temperature changes at a microsecond time scale. After that, they worked at The Home Depot as a Contractor Sales Associate, and later joined BOCES Substitute Coordination Service as a Substitute Teacher and Tutor. Most recently, Pierre served as the Director of Engineering and Quality at Blasch Precision Ceramics, overseeing the implementation of quality programs and collaborating with various departments to create a growth environment based on quality.
Pierre Pinard's education history begins in 1992 when they enrolled at McGill University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Aeronautical Option. Pierre successfully completed the program in 1996. After gaining their Bachelor's degree, they returned to McGill University and pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2002. In the same year, Pierre also attended the GE Global Research Center and obtained a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma. From 2003 to 2008, they engaged in Leadership Training at GE, although no specific degree is mentioned. In 2015, Pierre briefly attended the Mahoney Performance Institute for a Senior Manager Training Program in Management.
