Born in 1993 as the legacy organization of the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta, BlazeSports is a non-profit organization and the longest running legacy program of any Paralympic Games. 

At BlazeSports, we’re driven by a desire to provide all children and adults with physical disabilities the chance to play sports and live healthy, active lives. Our mission is to change the lives of children and adults with physical disabilities through adaptive sport and recreation. 

Our Goals
To provide sport, recreation and physical activity opportunities for people with physical disability in sport comparable to those provided non-disabled, nationally and internationally.
To foster character development, productive lives, healthy lifestyles and self-sufficiency for people with physical disability through sport.
To use cutting-edge training, distance learning opportunities, and fresh ideas as a vehicle to build the capacity of local service providers.
To build positive perceptions of people with physical disability.
To promote peace building, human rights and equity through sport.

The Management team at BlazeSports America oversees the organization's strategic direction and daily operations to ensure the fulfillment of its mission. This team consists of individuals such as the Executive Director, who provides overall leadership and vision, the Development Manager, who handles fundraising and donor relations, and the Office Manager, who manages administrative functions. Together, they work to create and maintain opportunities for people with physical disabilities to engage in adaptive sports and recreation, promoting healthy and active lives.

Management

The Coordinators Team at BlazeSports America is responsible for organizing and implementing specialized programs tailored to different demographics. The Veteran Outreach Coordinator focuses on engaging veterans with physical disabilities through adaptive sports. The Youth Program Coordinator develops and manages recreational and athletic opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities. The Marketing Coordinator promotes BlazeSports' mission, programs, and events, enhancing visibility and engagement. The Adaptive Sports & Vocation Coordinator designs and oversees adaptive sports activities that also incorporate vocational training to foster independence and self-sufficiency. Together, this team ensures comprehensive, inclusive, and impactful program delivery.
