Michael Kinoti

Michael Kinoti is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and management. Currently serving as a Black Venture Institute Fellow at BLCK VC, Michael is part of a select program designed for Black operators and technology executives. Michael has held key positions at Airbnb, initially as Head of Engineering for Marketing Technology and subsequently as Director of Engineering for the Growth Platform. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Uber, leading cross-functional teams for customer engagement, and holding various engineering roles at Microsoft, particularly within Bing Search. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, a Diploma in Management Information Systems from Strathmore College, and executive training in Leadership and Strategy from Harvard University.
