Isha Desai has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Isha began their career as an intern at S.S Gupta, where they performed service tax audits and implemented compliance procedures. Isha then worked as an article assistant at S.L Kabadi, handling indirect taxation compliance and assisting with audits.
Desai later joined AltFort Capital Advisors as an associate, gaining experience in the industry. Isha then moved to Blend Financial Services Ltd/ Blend Finance UK Ltd., where they served as an Assistant Vice President, specializing in structuring and lender coverage. Isha was later promoted to Deputy Vice President before joining Blend Financial Services as the Co-head of Structured Trade & Commodity Finance. In this role, they played a significant part in the strategy and structuring of various clients in sectors such as financial institutions, tech companies, agribusiness, renewables, manufacturing, and industrials.
Desai currently holds the position of Head Alternate Capital Markets/ Member of the Leadership team at Blend Financial Services. Isha'sresponsibilities include building and developing a strong pipeline of corporate and financial institution clients across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Isha manages over 70+ clients across various geographies. Throughout their career, Desai has demonstrated strong origination capability, excellent customer service and negotiation skills, as well as a self-confident and performance-driven work ethic.
Isha Desai completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from Narsee Monjee college of commerce and economics in 2010. Following that, they obtained the Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they hold a certification in Financial Valuation and Analysis, but the details of the institution and date of attainment are not provided.
