Brian Canfield started their work experience in 1999 as the Director of Operations and Business Development at Womack Army Medical Center. Brian then moved on to serve as the COO/Deputy Commander at Wurzburg Army Community Hospital and 67th Combat Support Hospital from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as the COO/Deputy Commander at DD Eisenhower Army Medical Center. In 2007, they became the CEO/Commander at 212th Combat Support Hospital, a position they held until 2009. Brian then served as the MEDAD (Medical Advisor)/CJMED/Command Surgeon, V CORPS at ISAF Joint Command from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they were the CEO/Commander at Womack Army Medical Center. Brian Canfield joined FirstHealth of the Carolinas/Moore Regional Hospital in 2012 as the COO and held the position until 2021. Currently, they are the EVP/COO at Blessing Health and will be taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer/President starting in July 2023.
Brian Canfield has a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Baylor University. Brian also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Bemidji State University. Additionally, they have a Master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western New England University. It is unclear whether they completed any degree or field of study at Saint John's University, US Army Command and General Staff College, or Walker High School.
