Steven Curry, MPH, has a diverse work experience in the field of public health. Steven started their career as a Personal Trainer at the SUNY Oswego Fitness Center, where they developed individualized exercise plans for clients. Steven then became a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at SUNY Oswego, where they gained experience in psychology research and teaching.
After completing their undergraduate degree, Steven worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University at Albany, where they assisted in a research project on ghrelin and alcohol craving. Steven then transitioned to the role of Clinical Research Coordinator at The Research Foundation for SUNY, where they facilitated collaboration between different institutions for a study on addiction.
Steven further expanded their research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the New York State Department of Health, analyzing data on youth and adult tobacco behaviors and perceptions. Steven completed an in-depth report on youth use of electronic nicotine delivery systems. Steven later joined Westat as a Research Assistant for The Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health Study, a federally funded longitudinal study.
Currently, Steven is working as a Public Health Associate at BLH Technologies, Inc., where they are involved in the management of the Tobacco Use Supplement to the Current Population Survey contract. This role allows him to utilize their analytical, technical, and communication skills.
Throughout their career, Steven has demonstrated expertise and versatility in various aspects of public health research and analysis.
Steven Curry, MPH has a Master's degree in Public Health from the University at Albany, SUNY, which they completed between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Health Science from the State University of New York at Oswego, where they studied from 2010 to 2014.
