Michal Pechoucek has extensive work experience in the field of technology and AI. Michal is currently the Chief Technology Officer at both Gen™ and NortonLifeLock. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Avast from 2019. In 2000, Michal founded the Artificial Intelligence Center and continues to work there as the Founder/Director. Michal is also a distinguished professor at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where they served as an AI Professor at the Computer Science Department starting in 2009 and later became the Chair of the Computer Science Department from 2016 to 2019. Michal is an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council and additionally holds advisory and leadership roles at various organizations, including Blindspot Solutions, EquiLibre Technologies, prg.ai, and Evolution Equity Partners.
Michal Pechoucek began their education in 1985 at Gymnazium Elisky Krasnohorske, where they pursued their secondary education. Michal then went on to attend The University of Edinburgh from 1995 to 1996, where they obtained their MSC degree in IT: Knowledge based systems. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1998, Michal pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Czech Technical University in Prague, specializing in the field of Artificial Intelligence & Biocybernetics.
