Reid Barton

Reid Barton has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Reid started their career as a Summer Intern at New Renaissance Institute in 2014, where they were responsible for leading and managing a group of engineering interns and conducting research in microfluidics. From there, Reid worked at Power Integrations as a Product Definition Intern, where they programmed LabVIEW scripts and designed PCBs for power supplies.

Reid then interned at harmony.ai as a Software Engineer, where they developed enterprise software tools for GDPR compliance using ReactJS and Amazon Web Services. Reid later joined Cisco as a Software Engineer Intern, where they created a man-in-the-middle sniffer and a visual tool for debugging IoT hardware. Reid continued their journey at Georgia Institute of Technology as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Electrical Energy Systems, focusing on creating projects, running labs, and grading.

In 2021, Reid founded their own cybersecurity startup called Bunkyr, which aims to enable privacy of user data. Reid successfully participated in the YC W22 program. Currently, Reid is working as an Electrical Engineer at Blissway since 2023.

Throughout their career, Reid has demonstrated expertise in electrical engineering, software development, cybersecurity, and project management.

Reid Barton completed their education at various institutions. Reid started at Los Gatos High School from 2012 to 2016, where they earned their High School diploma. Following this, they attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2019 and obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Later, from 2020 to 2021, Reid pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the same institution. In 2022, they briefly attended Y Combinator for educational purposes, although specific degree or field of study information is not available for this duration.
