Sam O. Yilmaz

Sam O. Yilmaz is the current COO and General Partner at Bloccelerate VC. Prior to this, Sam was a Strategic Investments and Finance Specialist at Erciyas Holding from March 2017 to February 2018, where they were responsible for leading due diligence in strategic investments in e-commerce, IOT, blockchain and Hyperloop companies. Before that, Sam was a Venture Partner at idaCapital from April 2016 to October 2016. At idaCapital, Sam was responsible for seeking and identifying investable companies and sourcing deals from accelerators, incubators, and angel networks.

Sam O. Yilmaz has a MSE from The Johns Hopkins University in Materials Science and Engineering, a BA from The Johns Hopkins University in Environmental Science, Anthropology, and Psychology, an MA from Boğaziçi University in Economics and Finance, and certificates from Cornell University in Project Leadership, Customer-Focused Product and Service Design, and Systems Design and Project Leadership. Sam is also certified by the Project Management Institute in Project Leadership from Cornell University.
