Michael Bloch is a founding partner at Bloch & White LLP, specializing in criminal defense, civil rights, and commercial litigation since June 2022. Prior to this, Michael served as counsel at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP and held various roles at The Bronx Defenders, including supervising attorney in the criminal defense practice, managing a high volume of felony and misdemeanor cases. Michael's earlier experience includes roles as an associate at Williams & Connolly LLP, where civil matters were litigated, and judicial law clerk positions with Judge Diane P. Wood and Chief Judge Helen G. Berrigan, conducting legal research and drafting opinions. Michael started the career as a summer associate at Covington & Burling LLP and law clerk for U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer. Michael holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.
