Aaron Teng

Aaron Teng is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Block since June 2022, previously serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Waymo and a Senior Quantitative Developer at Goldman Sachs, where responsibilities included building portfolio management web applications and backtesting strategies. Prior experience encompasses a Research Assistant role at Princeton University, where a quantitative theory on density limits was developed, as well as working as a Quantitative Researcher at SandPointe Asset Management, where a high-performing statistical arbitrage strategy was created. Participation in Kaggle competitions resulted in a silver medal, demonstrating expertise in natural language processing, while early career experience as a Research Analyst at Peking University focused on hit dynamics of positrons. Aaron Teng holds a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from Princeton University and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Peking University.
