Amelia Childress

Amelia Childress is the current Chief Compliance Officer at Block. Amelia has previous experience working as the Head of Global Compliance, Cash App at Block, International, Product, and Governance Compliance Lead at Square, and Compliance Manager at Square. Amelia has also worked as the Head of Compliance at Fundbox and as a BSA/AML Analyst at Union Bank. Prior to their work in compliance, Amelia was a FIU Analyst at Wells Fargo and a Research Associate at FirstWatch International. Amelia began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies.

Amelia Childress holds a Master of Arts in International Policy Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Amelia also has a certification from the ACAMS in Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and a certificate from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in Certificate in Nonproliferation Studies.
