Isreal Blagdan is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in product design and engineering across various high-technology and consumer product industries. Currently serving as a Hardware Product Design Engineering Lead at Block since March 2013, Isreal leads a team of engineers in the development of innovative products, including the second generations of Square Terminal and Square Register. Previous roles include Senior Mechanical Engineer at the Osterhout Group, where Isreal led the design of a biometrically capable smartphone, and Principal Mechanical Engineer at LeapFrog Toys Inc., overseeing mechanical design processes. Isreal’s background also includes significant positions at Pillar Data Systems, BROCADE COMMUNICATIONS, and Teradyne, contributing to various mechanical design efforts. Isreal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San José State University.
