Mengling Hettinger

Mengling Hettinger is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in data science and research. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Block since January 2023, Mengling previously held roles as a Principal Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at Convoy Inc. from March 2020 to January 2023. Mengling has also worked as a Deep Learning Engineer at M Science, a Data Scientist at HARMAN International, Hotels.com, and DataRobot, as well as a Professional Data Scientist at AT&T. Earlier career experience includes positions as a Research Assistant at both the Associated Students of Michigan State University and Michigan State University. Mengling holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Michigan State University and has pursued further education through Udacity, earning an Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree in 2017 and a Self-Driving Car Nanodegree that continues into 2018.
