Mercedes Isabel Naguiat

Mercedes Isabel Naguiat, CAMS, currently serves as the Product Compliance Manager for Sellers at Block since May 2023. Previously, Mercedes held various compliance roles at Affirm from January 2020 to February 2023, including Compliance Manager for Financial Crimes and Compliance Program Manager. Before that, Mercedes worked as a Regulatory Compliance Analyst at Square from September 2015 to October 2019 and as a BSA/AML Investigator at First Republic Bank between July 2014 and September 2015. At First Republic Bank, responsibilities included conducting investigations related to customer activity and training team members on compliance processes. Earlier experience includes serving as a Regulatory Compliance Analyst at Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company from April 2012 to June 2014, overseeing the monitoring of high-risk transactions and implementing compliance procedures. Mercedes obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater Arts from Ateneo de Manila University, graduating in 2009.
