Patrick Regan

Patrick Regan is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory counsel and corporate law. Currently serving as Payments Regulatory Counsel at Square since September 2023, Patrick provides legal and regulatory expertise for the company's payments products. Previously, as Director & Assistant General Counsel at Capital One from October 2021 to July 2023, Patrick offered guidance on various banking regulations and consumer protection laws. Prior experience includes functioning as Corporate Claims Counsel & Trial Attorney at Progressive Insurance from September 2016 to October 2021, advising on complex claims in Arizona and Nevada, and serving as a Judge Advocate in the US Army from 2008 to 2016. Patrick holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Richmond. Additionally, Patrick completed military education at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
