Rebecca Hofmann has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Rebecca began their career in 1990 as a Senior Property Accountant at Merit Energy Company. In 1996, they moved to Celanese as a Special Projects Lead and Sr. Internal Auditor. In 1999, they founded and became President/Owner of Gecko Rim LLC, a real estate investment firm. In 2007, Rebecca joined Oxy as Manager of Financial Compliance and Manager of Internal Audit Operations. From 2011 to 2018, they worked at Statoil in various roles, including Operations Excellence - Management System/Blockchain Strategy, Operations Excellence Volumes Project Lead, and Head of Finance/Business Controller, Marcellus & Utica. In 2018, they became the Head of Innovation at Equinor, leading the company's blockchain digitalization strategy and development. In 2019, Rebecca became the President and Chief Executive Officer of Blockchain for Energy, a nonprofit organization they founded. Rebecca is also the Chairman of the Board of the OOC Blockchain Consortium.
Rebecca Hofmann completed their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1995. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Blockchain Basics from LinkedIn.
