Rafael Belchior

Rafael Belchior is a highly experienced professional in the fields of blockchain technology and research, currently serving as a Senior Engineer in R&D at Blockdaemon since February 2022, where numerous projects focusing on security, privacy, and interoperability have been proposed and implemented. With a background as a Junior Researcher at INESC-ID since 2018 and as an R&D Engineer at multiple organizations, Rafael has successfully raised substantial funds for blockchain interoperability initiatives and developed educational resources for aspiring blockchain developers. In addition to extensive research contributions, Rafael has held academic roles, including Invited Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico, and has actively mentored within the Hyperledger community. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Blockchain from Instituto Superior Técnico and a Visiting Researcher position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
