Richard Karels

Richard Karels is a seasoned payroll and human resources information system analyst with extensive experience in payroll processing and HRIS administration. Currently employed at Blommer Chocolate Company since August 2022, Richard is responsible for managing weekly payrolls and providing support for HRIS and payroll processes in compliance with labor regulations. Prior to this role, Richard served at Oak Park and River Forest High School from February 2017 to August 2022 as a Payroll/Human Resources Systems Specialist, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of HR information systems. Richard's earlier positions include Payroll Coordinator at Niles Township High School District 219 and East Maine School District 63, where responsibilities included processing payroll for hundreds of employees. Richard holds an Associate of Arts degree from Harper College.
