Lead UX Designer at Bloodbuy

Poornima Ozarkar has a long and varied work experience. Poornima began their career as a Junior Architect at InForm Architects in 2002, where they were responsible for working drawings of on-going projects. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Visual Merchandising Design Intern at Titan Industries, where they redesigned the branding and visual merchandising of the platinum range of jewelry. In 2006, they were a Design Intern at GE Plastics, where they proposed a design for train interiors for the Indian Railways. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Design Manager at IMImobile Pvt. Ltd., where they were responsible for the user experience of WAP and Voice applications on mobile devices, SMS services, and IMImobile's in-house business information software. From 2009 to 2010, they were an Interactive Media Designer/Developer at Mercury New Media. From 2010 to 2017, they were a User Experience Designer at Qualvu, where they designed the user interface of the entire product and achieved dramatic improvement in product usability. Since 2017, they have been a Lead UX Designer at Bloodbuy, where they work to conceptualize new features, iterate to improve existing work streams, communicate the design via lo to hi-fidelity prototypes, and oversee user research that is required to validate design concepts across Bloodbuy's end-user facing and internal tools.

Poornima Ozarkar has a diverse educational background. Poornima attended D.G. Ruparel college from 1996 to 1998 for their high school education. Poornima then attended University of Mumbai from 1998 to 2003 and obtained a B.Arch in Architecture. Following this, they attended National Institute of Design from 2004 to 2006 and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design, Product design, Product Interfaces, Cognitive science, and Systems thinking. Finally, they attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2008 to 2009 and obtained an MA in Interactive Design.
