David Strauss

Global Partnerships Lead, Bloomberg Connects at Bloomberg Philanthropies

David Strauss has held various roles in the cultural sector, starting as a Public Relations Associate at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 1996. David then worked at Takashi Murakami Kai Kai KIKI as an Office Manager before joining the Queens Museum. At the Queens Museum, David served as the Director of External Affairs and Capital Projects, Interim Executive Director, and Deputy Director. In 2018, they transitioned to Bloomberg Philanthropies as the Global Partnerships Lead for Bloomberg Connects, focusing on strategic collaborations with cultural institutions worldwide. Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in project management, public relations, marketing, and team leadership within the arts and cultural sector.

David Strauss attended Hunter College High School from 1985 to 1991. David then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major in English and Marine Biology from University at Albany, SUNY from 1991 to 1995. In 1995, they also studied Sustainable Marine Ecosystem Management at The School for Field Studies. Later, from 2002 to 2004, David earned a Master's degree in Visual Arts Administration from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
